Isawa Onsen is the largest onsen district in Yamanashi, located in the heart of the Kofu basin — Japan's premier peach- and grape-growing region. The hot spring was discovered relatively recently (1961, gushed up while drilling for grape-orchard irrigation) and quickly developed into the modern resort it is today, with 40+ ryokan and hotels plus large multi-bath day-use facilities (over 120 properties at its peak). The springs are alkaline simple type — soft and skin-friendly. June–August is peach season; August–October is grape season; spring brings pink-and-white peach blossoms. From Shinjuku: Limited Express Azusa to Isawa Onsen Station in 90 min.

石和温泉は山梨最大の温泉地で、甲府盆地（桃・ブドウの日本一の産地）の中心に位置します。1961年、ブドウ畑の灌漑用に井戸を掘っていて偶然湧出した比較的新しい湯で、急速に近代的なリゾート温泉として発展。現在は40軒超の旅館・ホテル・大型観光施設が立ち並びます（最盛期は120軒超）。湯は柔らかいアルカリ性単純泉。6〜8月は桃のシーズン、8〜10月はブドウシーズン、4月はピンクと白の桃の花。新宿から特急あずさで石和温泉駅まで90分。

Day-use onsen with iconic Mt. Fuji panorama

富士山ビューの絶景日帰り露天

Hottarakashi Onsen is one of the most famous day-use onsen views in all Japan — built on a hillside above the Kofu basin, looking directly across at Mt. Fuji rising 60 km away. Two outdoor baths face the panorama: "Atchi-no-yu" (this one) and "Kotchi-no-yu" (that one), each with slightly different angles. Open from before sunrise (typically 5:30am, varies by season), enabling the legendary "Morgenrot" first light of Mt. Fuji glowing pink — one of the most-photographed onsen moments. ¥900 admission, no overnight stays. From Isawa Onsen: 15 min by taxi.

ほったらかし温泉は日本一フォトジェニックな日帰り温泉のひとつ——甲府盆地を見下ろす高台に建ち、60km先の富士山を真正面に望みます。「あっちの湯」「こっちの湯」二つの露天があり、それぞれ少し角度が異なります。営業は日の出前（季節により5時半頃）から開始し、富士山が朝日でピンクに染まる「モルゲンロート」の絶景を浴槽から体験可能（日本屈指の撮影スポット）。入浴料900円、宿泊なし。石和温泉からタクシー15分。

慶雲館の故郷、ギネス認定世界最古の宿

Nishiyama Onsen is a tiny mountain hamlet in western Yamanashi, with one of the most extraordinary single ryokan in human history: Keiunkan — Guinness World Records-certified as the world's oldest continuously-operated hotel/inn, founded in 705 AD and run by 52 generations of the same Fujiwara family without interruption for 1,300+ years. The mountain-stream-side complex has been rebuilt over the centuries but the spring and lineage are unbroken. The hot spring (calcium-sodium sulfate) has been recognized as Japanese imperial-level healing water since the Nara period (Emperor Tenmu reportedly bathed here). Beyond Keiunkan, only 2–3 other small inns operate. From Tokyo: 3h by car or Limited Express + bus via Minobu.

Takeda Shingen's "secret healing bath" — 1,200 years

武田信玄の隠し湯、1200年の名湯

Shimobe Onsen is the most famous of "Takeda Shingen's Hidden Baths" — a network of 8 secluded onsen in Yamanashi where the 16th-century warlord supposedly sent wounded samurai to recover. Founded according to legend in the early 9th century, Shimobe sits in a quiet valley of the Fuji River system. The hot spring is unusually cool (around 30°C from source — re-heated for bathing) and contains rare minerals said to support wound healing — a reputation that brought military officers from across Japan in the Edo period. About 10 traditional ryokan operate today. From Tokyo: 2h 30min via JR Minobu Line.

下部温泉は「武田信玄の隠し湯」（信玄が傷兵を癒すために秘匿した山梨の8つの湯のネットワーク）の代表格。伝承では平安初期（9世紀）開湯で約1200年の歴史を持ち、富士川水系の静かな渓谷に佇みます。湯は源泉約30°Cの「ぬる湯」（加温して入浴）で、稀少なミネラルを含み「外傷に良いとされる」評判から江戸時代も全国の武士・大名から愛されました。現在約10軒の伝統旅館が営業。東京からJR身延線で2時間30分。

Kofu City onsen — Takeda Shingen's castle-side bath

甲府市内の温泉、武田信玄の城下湯

Yumura Onsen sits at the western edge of Kofu City — a rare example of a major onsen located right inside a prefectural-capital city. Founded in the 9th century, it served as Takeda Shingen's personal bath complex during his 16th-century reign as lord of Kai Province. Today around 10 ryokan operate in a compact district just 15 minutes from Kofu Station, making it Yamanashi's most convenient onsen for non-driving visitors. The hot springs are alkaline simple type, naturally at bathing temperature. Pairs well with same-day visits to nearby Takeda Shrine and Kofu Castle ruins.

湯村温泉は甲府市内西部に位置——県庁所在地（甲府市）の市内にある、全国でも珍しいアクセス至便な温泉地です。9世紀開湯で、16世紀の戦国大名・武田信玄が甲斐の領主として個人浴場として利用しました。現在は約10軒の旅館がコンパクトな温泉街を形成し、甲府駅からバス15分の好アクセス。車を持たない旅行者にとって山梨で最も便利な温泉地です。湯はアルカリ性単純泉で源泉から適温。武田神社・甲府城跡との日帰り組合せが定番。
