Sanage Onsen rises at the foot of Mt. Sanage (629 m), the sacred mountain on the northern edge of Toyota City, about an hour from central Nagoya — and it is our home onsen: the onsen47 editor has been coming here once or twice a month for more than 15 years. The water, pumped from 1,200 m underground, is a natural radon spring measuring 21.1 mache — well above the 8.25-mache threshold for officially recognized therapeutic springs. Long visited as a "toji" healing bath, it was also the first onsen in Aichi licensed for drinking. The rock bath "Kinsen-no-Yu" (adults 1,580 yen, 8:00–23:00, from 9:30 on weekdays) keeps things simple: one big main pool plus an open-air bath that fits about eight, with bath towels and yukata included in the fee — arrive empty-handed. Weekday afternoons are quiet, a night soak deep in the mountains has a charm of its own, and cherry-blossom season here is the best of all. Bring a plastic bottle for the drinkable spring water (sold on site if you forget). Lodging at Hotel Kinsenkaku; free shuttle bus from Fujigaoka subway station in Nagoya.

猿投温泉は豊田市北部の霊峰・猿投山（標高629m）の麓、名古屋都心から約1時間の谷あいに湧く一軒宿の温泉——そして編集部が15年以上、月1〜2回通い続けているホームの湯です。地下1,200mから汲み上げる天然ラドン泉は分析値21.1マッヘと療養泉の規定（8.25マッヘ）を大きく上回り、国内でも湧出例が少ないとされる希少な泉質。古くから湯治の湯として知られ、愛知県で初めて飲泉許可も受けています。岩風呂「金泉の湯」（大人1,580円・8時〜23時、平日は9時半〜）は大きな主浴槽と8人ほどの露天という飾らない構成で、バスタオル・浴衣が料金込みだから手ぶらでOK。平日の昼は空いていて、山の中の夜湯も乙なもの。桜の季節は格別です。飲泉はペットボトル持参が吉（忘れても館内販売あり）。宿泊は「ホテル金泉閣」、名古屋の地下鉄・藤が丘駅から無料送迎バスも運行しています。

Nishiura Onsen occupies a peninsula jutting into Mikawa Bay south of Nagoya — its westward orientation makes it one of central Japan's best sunset-viewing onsen. The hot springs were developed in 1953 from drilling at the tip of the peninsula, and the area grew into a "Showa-era resort onsen" with 12+ large hotels lining the coast. Winter (November–March) brings "tora-fugu" pufferfish kaiseki — the regional version of Shimonoseki's famous winter delicacy, served as sashimi, hotpot, and grilled fin sake. The peninsula's "Sunset Promenade" walking path is a local Instagram favorite. From Nagoya: 40 min by Meitetsu to Gamagori + 10-min taxi.

西浦温泉は名古屋南の三河湾に突き出た半島に位置し、西向きの立地が中部屈指の「夕日温泉地」として知られます。1953年、半島先端の掘削で温泉が湧出し、海岸沿いに12軒以上の大型ホテルが並ぶ「昭和リゾート温泉」として発展。冬（11〜3月）は「トラフグ会席」が名物——下関の冬の名物の三河版で、刺身・ふぐちり・ひれ酒のフルコース。半島の「サンセットプロムナード」は地元のフォトスポット。名古屋から名鉄で蒲郡まで40分+タクシー10分。

Mikawa Onsen (read "Miya Onsen") sits on the coast of Gamagori City. Legend traces its origins to the monk Gyoki some 1,200 years ago, making it one of Aichi's oldest hot springs, and it grew into a seaside resort after the war. The area features a long beach, the iconic Takeshima Island (linked by a 387m bridge and home to Yaotomi Shrine), and over 8 ryokan with full Mikawa Bay views. Yacht harbor, fishing pier, and seasonal melon picking (Gamagori melons are nationally famous) add to the appeal.

三河三谷温泉（みや）は蒲郡市の海岸に位置し、開湯は行基による約1200年前の発見と伝わる愛知最古級の湯。戦後に海浜リゾート温泉として発展しました。長い砂浜と象徴的な「竹島」（387mの橋で結ばれ、八百富神社が鎮座する島）、三河湾の絶景を望む8軒以上の旅館が並びます。ヨットハーバー、釣り桟橋、季節のメロン狩り（蒲郡メロンは全国的に有名）が複合的な魅力。

静かな三河湾の温泉、「忠臣蔵」吉良家の地

Kira Onsen lies on the Mikawa Bay coast in Nishio City — one of Aichi's quietest, most local-oriented hot spring areas. The name "Kira" is loaded with history: this is the home territory of the Kira clan, headed by Kira Kozuke-no-Suke, the lord killed in the 1703 raid by the 47 Ronin — the legendary "Chushingura" revenge tale of Japanese cultural memory. The town honors his complex local legacy (he was beloved as a generous lord locally). The onsen is sodium chloride spring, with about 6 ryokan offering Mikawa Bay views, white-sand beaches in summer, and "asari" (clam) digging in spring. Quieter and cheaper than Nishiura.

吉良温泉は西尾市・三河湾の海岸に位置し、愛知温泉で最も静かで地元志向の温泉地のひとつ。「吉良」の名は歴史的に重い意味を持ち——元禄15年（1703年1月）の赤穂浪士討ち入りで討たれた、「忠臣蔵」で知られる吉良上野介の本拠地です。地元では「名君」として愛され、町は複雑な歴史を今に伝えます。湯は塩化物泉で6軒程度の旅館が三河湾の景色、夏の海水浴、春のアサリ堀りを提供。西浦より静かで料金も控えめ。

知多半島先端、新鮮魚介と太平洋ビュー

Minamichita Onsen-go is a cluster of small onsen settlements at the tip of the Chita Peninsula — south of Nagoya across Ise Bay, with the open Pacific Ocean on the east side. The southernmost villages of Toyohama and Utsumi feature working fishing ports where the dawn auction supplies the same-day dinner at local ryokan. "Fugu" (pufferfish) in winter, "tako" (octopus) and "shirasu" (whitebait) year-round. The peninsula's Cape Hazu (Hazu-misaki) view of the Ise Bay sunset is famous locally. The Mihama and Minamichita onsen areas have around 15 ryokan total. From Nagoya: ~60 min by Meitetsu Kowa Line / Chita-Shinsen Line to Kowa or Utsumi.

南知多温泉郷は知多半島南端の小さな温泉村の集合——名古屋の南、伊勢湾を挟んで、東側に太平洋が開けるエリアです。豊浜・内海など現役の漁港集落で、早朝の競りの魚介がその日の旅館の夕食に。冬は「フグ」、通年「タコ」「シラス」。半島先端の羽豆岬（はずみさき）からの伊勢湾夕日は地元で名高い。美浜・南知多温泉郷で旅館15軒程度。名古屋から名鉄河和線・知多新線で河和・内海まで約60分。
